Golf courses in Burgenland & nearby Styria
A golfing holiday in one of Austria’s sunniest holiday regions
Stegersbach is a hole-in-one for golfing enthusiasts: the Hotel Larimar is located in a hilly thermal spa region and surrounded by dreamy golf courses. Austria’s largest golf resort is just a few steps from the hotel: the Stegersbach Lafnitztal course with a total of 45 holes. But if that’s not enough: there are three more charming golf courses in the area surrounding the thermal spa hotel.
Golfers can enjoy pure pleasure in and around Stegersbach in the picturesque landscapes of south Burgenland. Golf in Burgenland is very highly regarded thanks to the mild Pannonian climate. You can play golf here all year round and from March to the end of October as a minimum.
Stegersbach Lafnitztal golf course
Two 18-hole courses, one 9-hole course and the Simon Tarr Golf Academy together form an unrivalled golfing paradise. You can play a challenging, exciting or leisurely round of gold here, depending on your preferences and the strength of your game. Picturesque brooks, still ponds and magnificent mixed woodlands are dotted across the fairways which more than live up to their names: the ‘Panorama’ and ‘South Burgenland’ areas with 18 holes each offer dreamy enjoyment on the fairways and greens.
The hilly panoramic landscape offers endless panoramic views and a challenging game. There are two ponds to be crossed, among other things. The South Burgenland course blends in perfectly with gentle hilly landscape, is clear and easy to play and as such is ideal for beginners. No tee-off times are allocated on this 9-hole course and players only need to pay a green fee. Both beginners and experienced golfers can play a round here. The course also includes two driving ranges – one in-front of the Hotel Larimar and the other at the club. The fun course is located alongside the latter and is popular with beginners thanks to its short fairways.
Larimar guests receive a 15% green fee discount and attractive special prices on courses at the Simon Tarr Golf Academy.

The Bad Waltersdorf golf club was established in 2004 and quickly became a favourite on the local golfing scene. The course was designed by English golf course designer Michael Pinner and blends in perfectly with the existing natural setting. It offers an 18-hole course and spacious practice area.
The Golf & Country Club Bad Tatzmannsdorf is home to a championship course with 18 holes and a 9-hole practice course in a forest clearing. Austria’s largest driving range also offers plenty of space for unlimited training sessions.
The thermal spa golf resort of Loipersdorf is nestled in the alluvial area around the Feistritz and Lafnitz rivers. The charming 27-hole championship course on the border between the states of Burgenland and Styria impresses both experienced golfers and beginners.
