300 sunny days a year, a softly rolling landscape and an extensive cycle path network makes the southern Burgenland a paradise for cyclists. The Paradise route invites you to a comfortable cycling on a level route, the more demanding routes can be easily explored by e-bike.

Discover and experience the three nature parks up close and marvel at the magical river landscapes on the Raab and Lafnitz, idyllic cellar districts and castles. Stop by one of the top gourmet establishments in the southern Burgenland – the so called „Paradiesbetriebe“ and enjoy regional delicacies directly at the producer, the wine growers, in cozy taverns or gourmet restaurants.

Bike- and e-bike tours in Burgenland

600 Kilometers of well-developed and signposted cycle paths can be found in the southern Burgenland alone, and an incredible 2500 kilometers in the whole of Burgenland. The consistent marking throughout the cycle path network makes it easier for you to find your way around. The level terrain profile is particularly appealing to hobby cyclists. You don’t need a lot of strength, but will need some stamina for longer trips.

B63 Streuobstwiesen-Radweg, ca. 42 km
Beautiful circular cycle path through the softly rolling landscape around Stegersbach. With 3 short increases the cycle path is relatively balanced and easy to navigate.

B56 Stremtal-Radwanderweg, ca. 21 km
The cycle path leads from Stegersbach to the bathing lake in Rauchwart and then along a litte stream to Güssing, where the cycle path joins, at the foot of Castle Güssing, the eco-energy or the „Burg Güssing“ cycle path.

Rent Bicycles & E-Bikes

Bicycles can be borrowed for free at the Hotel Larimar. Our reception team will be happy to provide you with information about cycling and trekking tours as well as the extensive network of cycle paths in the thermal region of The South Burgenland.

E-Bikes - Bicycles with electrical pedal assist when pedaling – can be rented for half a day (3 hours) for € 19,00 or for the whole day for € 29,00.
E-Bikes are very practical, protect the environment and reduce the exertion for a completely new driving experience.

Spectacular nature

Lovely vineyards, vinotheques, taverns and castles like from a fairy tale: In addition to its cultural assets, Burgenland is also home to unique landscapes with fascinating flora and fauna. Cycle through protected pasture landscapes, for exemple along the Lafnitz, where you have the opportunity to observe rare and endangered species such as the kingfisher.
